Dear Clark,

How shall I describe Holly Dear? She’s a sprinkle of hippie, a spot of socialite, and always the life of the party — especially if it is a Dear Clark, party! She’s always trying out the latest trends — on herself, no less. Beads, braids, feathers, foils…you name it. Holly has done it and very well could be wearing it when you meet.

Bottom line, you will never meet anyone who is more creative, artistic, or passionate about hair than this quirky co-owner and co-founder of Dear Clark. Trust us. You’ll feel Holly’s innate, artistic talent when you sit in her chair. The girl was born to hold scissors. In her hands, scissors don’t just cut hair, they sculpt and smooth, exposing movement and revealing texture. Her unique eye for shape and form reveals itself as she expertly assesses your natural texture and intrinsically feels what you — and your hair — need most.

Since college Holly has focused solely on hair. Like any artist, she has taken the time to hone and perfect her skills, truly becoming an expert. From TONI&GUY and Vidal Sassoon, she learned technical haircutting and the joy of teaching. Using that foundation, Holly quickly developed her own technique of cutting and styling, creating a different approach to hair. One that was tailored to the individual. A move to Italy to make products for Italian color manufacturer Kemon meant she was given the opportunity to transform color and texture, expanding all possibilities.

Returning to Dallas to found Dear Clark with Kaycee Clark in February 2008 enabled Holly to showcase her unique talent, work with her diverse client base and share her special approach to hair with the Dear Clark, team. The most recent addition is Dear Clark, HAIRCARE, the salon’s uniquely Texan brand of products to rejuvenate stressed hair.

Holly cares passionately about getting it right. Her professional integrity won’t let her rest until you both agree perfection has been achieved. She has a knack for men’s hair — especially those with a receding hairline. Yup. We said it! Holly simply loves hair; any length, any texture, any age, any style.

If you are ready for a hairdresser that cares even more about your hair than you do, you’re ready for Holly. Be sure and look for her secret smile of achievement when she sees your delight at the finished product.
