Dear Clark,

Say hello to this Gemini from Santa Barbara, CA. You’d never know she had a love of old school hip-hop. Her artistic family nurtured her creativity and by high school, she knew hairdressing was the career for her. She loves that it allows her to travel and meet all kinds of people.

Kimmi started her career in 2000 at the Toni and Guy Academy. In 2001 she moved to Colorado and opened her own salon. During that time she dove into intense education with Bumble and Bumble, Wella, Loreal, and Schwarzkopf hair color. After 7 years, Kimmi sold her salon and decided to take a surfing hiatus in San Diego!

In 2009 Kimmi moved back to Dallas to get back to her roots (pun intended) of hairdressing! Since being at Dear Clark she has educated with Kevin Murphy, Oribe, Davines, and Deva Curl. She was recently certified at Sharon Blain’s “Long Hairdressing Boot Camp” in Santa Monica!

Outside of Dear Clark, Kimmi is a freelance session stylist with a local agency. Her work can be found in D Magazine’s spring and fall fashion shoots and La Mode magazine. In 2010 Kimmi was named in Allure magazine for “Best haircut under $100”.

Kimmi specializes in working with your natural texture to create a personalized style. She also enjoys doing hair color and special event hair for weddings and parties!

In her spare time Kimmi can be found doing Yoga, running, and having fun!
